A memória jesuítica e as festas de “Chica” guarani

The members of Companhia de Jesus wrote down reports aiming to inform their superiors about the progress and difficulties faced by them in their apostolic work during the "mission” activities in overseas territories. Through their registers the Jesuits contributed to establish a memoir of the missionary acts in order to enable others to read, copy and diffuse their writings, as well as to inform about the native population targeted. Escrevendo para que os outros lessem, copiassem e difundissem seus escritos, os religiosos contribuíram, desta forma, para estabelecer uma memória sobre sua atuação missionária, bem como acerca das populações indígenas que dela foram alvo. O presente trabalho analisa a construção desta memória a partir de um terma particular, as festas de “chicha” dos grupos guarani e também sua transformação em fonte histórica. &nbsp
